Coppell Chapter Home Contact this Local Chapter All About YMSL Join Us Member Login Welcome to the Coppell Chapter of YMSL! To assist, serve and support those who are in need in our community, develop leadership skills among our membership, and promote mother-son relationships. Our organization provides high school boys and their moms opportunities to serve others in our local and surrounding communities. We can be found constructing ramps, gardening, painting, cheering on special needs athletes, and providing support to the less fortunate. Mothers and sons work 20 hours each (at least 10 hours together) and attend Chapter meetings to remain in good standing each year. Moms' meetings cover a variety of topics, as well as discuss Chapter business. Boys' meetings are designed to teach impor tant life skills and explore important college and career choices. The Coppell Chapter was started in 2012 has grown to 267 members with 123 moms and 144 young men. Last year we served over 3,000 hours assisting dozens of philanthropies. Our goal is to instill i n our young men the drive to always reach out beyond themselves, to lend a hand up, foster an environment of service and enhance the community we live in. YMSL History YMSL was founded by Pam and Julie Rosener who envisioned an organization that would allow mothers and their high school-aged sons to work together in support of those in need within the community. They recruited other interested mothers who shared their vision and turned that dream into the reality that is now YMSL. The initial YMSL chapter is in Plano, Texas, where Pam and Julie worked with other empowered mothers and sons to create a highly successful philanthropic and developmental organization for young men and their mothers....
